Loosen up with Techni-Ice

Friday is usually one of the best days of the week. It is a presage that weekdays are over and tomorrow is the start of the weekend. Of course, it's the last day of work for some. Meet Our Lucky Winner

Congratulations to the once Ice Man and Human Torch dreamer, Romarianne Romero. She was our lucky winner of the Techni-Ice Your Own Way Blog Contest. With Techni-Ice's ability to be used for hot or cold applications, Romarianne associated Techni-Ice to the contrasting power of Ice Man and Human Torch. Diana's Discovery

Diana Alvarado first discovered Techni-Ice last December. She used her Techni-Ice sheets to deliver Christmas hams to family members during the holidays. Back to School Must-Have

Cut Techni-Ice sheets prior to hydration

I'm sure you are all aware how Techni-Ice is very useful when it comes to food transport. Whether it's hot or cold, Techni-Ice is capable of maintaining the temperature of the item, making it ideal for fast-food deliveries and out-of-town trips.

Another school year is fast approaching. The Techni-Ice sheets I used during my family's beach outings will now be used to keep their lunch warm.

Techni-Ice can be cut into smaller sizes, depending on where and how you are going to use it. For my kids' lunch bags, I would need six cells of Techni-Ice only.

The hydrated Techni-Ice sheets will be heated in the microwave for 2-3 minutes. After heating, the cut sheets will be placed inside an insulated bag then the lunch pack. With this, I am assured that my kids' food will still be warm (or cold for drinks) for lunch.

Sometimes, I like to change things up. I would put the sheets above the the lunch pack or use two sheets to cover the entire lunch pack. Either way, my kids are happily eating their still-warm food.

Daba-Daba Ikaduha: The Event

On a previous post, we mentioned that Techni-Ice will participate in this year's Daba-Daba Ikaduha: Ultimate Frisbee Tournament at Davao Crocodile Park.

With speed, agility, teamwork and good strategy, our sponsored team, JUAN CDO of Cagayan de Oro City got themselves medals at the tournament as Pool B champions.

At rest, the team also used Techni-Ice sheets as cold packs to relieve their worked-out muscles of pain and knots. It also helped them cool down as the weather was burning that day.

The Techni-Ice team also set up a booth where we explained the various uses of Techni-Ice to the spectators and players.

The RICE Method

I love running. I run 3-4 times a week. It keeps me relaxed and energized after a long day's work. However, there were times when I would overdo it and get myself injured. This is not good especially when I'm taking care of a husband and two very active kids. And, a very demanding work, as well.

Through the internet, I have read about the RICE method. It stands for Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation. By following the Rice method, I have prevented injuries and speed-up my recovery.

When I can feel swelling in my muscles, I also take anti-inflammatory medication, like aspirin or ibuprofen, and  I take a day or two from running. I would never risk a secondary injury.

The Rice method is a simple guide in keeping me healthy and injury free after a good run. Techni-Ice has aided in the I and C department of the method: Ice and Compression.

Before I run, I make sure I have Techni-Ice in the freezer for cold compress or a hydrated sheet that's ready for the microwave just in case I need a hot compress. It's always better to be prepared.

Techni-Ice Review: A Complicated Melody

Here's a good story.

Diana wanted to buy hams for her family for Christmas. However, she worried that transporting them would be quite difficult since they need to be kept cold.

Then she visited last year's Christmas Bazaar at IT Park. There we had a booth and demo for everybody. She got interested. She bought her first Techni-Ice sheet.

Here's what she had to say about her first Techni-Ice experience.

When I got to the house, I dipped it in water as instructed and placed it in the freezer. After a few minutes, Techni-Ice was hard as a rock. I packed it in my cooler together with 11 holiday hams and started driving around giving my Christmas presents. When I got back, Techni-Ice was a little spongy but still really cold.
